The chance to live and learn with fellow students of remarkable ability and diversity stands out as one of the most valuable dimensions of a Choate education. Like other aspects of a great education, assembling this exceptional student body requires investment, specifically, in the form of financial aid. At present, Choate’s annual budget for financial aid exceeds $6 million, in absolute terms an impressive sum. Measured, however, against our seven most comparable peer institutions, this aid total places Choate last in the amount of assistance awarded as a percentage of total tuition charged.

This campaign seeks to augment endowment for financial aid, enabling a permanent increase in the number of full awards, the number and amount of partial awards, and the range of students who benefit.
